Shared Equity is a lasting affordability housing model that utilizes an initial one-time
investment to significantly lower the purchase price of the home. Then, through a
deed restriction, it limits the sale price making it affordable for each subsequent,
income-qualified buyer. It is an anti-displacement tool that provides homeownership
opportunities in rapidly gentrifying neighborhoods.
River City Housing is excited to introduce this program to potential partners. At the
Lunch and Learn, attendees will learn more about current and upcoming homes
that River City Housing has in development. This is an opportunity to identify an
easily accessible pathway to homeownership for your client, learn about the benefits
and protections for the community, and figure out how your organization can play a
part in guaranteeing affordable housing availability for years to come.
We invite you to join us at the NAREB Louisville October monthly meeting for an afternoon of
education and community development. Lunch will be served, please RSVP. If you
